Shipping

 

Ready-to-ship items will ship in 2 to 3 business days from the date of purchase. Shipping speed is selected by the customer during the checkout process. If your item has a lead time, we will update you when it is ready to ship.

All orders ship with tracking information included in the shipping confirmation email.

We do not currently offer international shipping.

Shipping rates do not include insurance. By request, we can provide shipment insurance quotes based on your needs.

Freight shipments are FOB (freight on board) Albuquerque, NM

Submaterial is not responsible for carrier delays or damages that occurred during shipment.

Discounts apply to products only and are not applicable to shipping costs.

 

Refunds and Returns

 

Most of our products are made to order, therefore we offer returns or exchanges due to manufactures defect only. Items must be returned in the original packaging and have no visible signs of wear or use. If you have a concern, please contact us within 3 business days of receipt of your products. Please retain the original packaging and wait for instructions from our sales team.

Should a replacement product be required, an appropriate lead time will be quoted.

In the event we issue a refund, funds will go to the original payment method.

Sale items and custom products are final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged.

How do I take care of my Submaterial product?

Wool felt: Use a lint roller, tape, or a vacuum attachment on its lowest setting to remove surface debris and dust. For stains, use a mild detergent diluted with water; test on an inconspicuous area first. Let air dry. Avoid vigorous rubbing, which can agitate the fibers.

Leather & wood: Dust with a soft, dry cloth when needed.

Ultrasuede: Use a lint roller or tape to remove surface debris and dust. Do not apply liquids.

Do you ship internationally?

At the moment, we do not ship our products internationally.

Where are your products made?

Our products are made by real humans in the USA. Submaterial products are fabricated by hand in our Albuquerque, NM design studio and manufacturing facility. Learn more about us here. 

Will my product look exactly like the one I saw online?

Because of the nature of the natural materials and very hands on processes, each piece of our work has a unique character. Color variations from what you see on your screen are to be expected. We celebrate the evidence of the human hand in our work, for example, no two Myth design panels are exactly alike. 

The item I wanted is listed as out of stock, what do I do?

Can I order your products in a custom color other than what is offered?

Do you have a trade program?

Yes, we offer a trade discount to design professionals through our Designer Membership Program.  If you are a practicing residential interior designer please visit our membership page and become a member!

Do you offer wholesale?

At the moment we do not wholesale our products.
