Studio Transformation

Earlier this month, our studio transformed from an active production studio to a neatly arranged venue space for Create & Curate, a Knoll design event. Hosted at Submaterial, Create & Curate attracted local designers and architects and allowed them to interact with fabrics, leathers, and vignettes of Knoll furniture pieces. With FilzFelt specializing in German-milled wool felt, Spinneybeck specializing in leather, and KnollTextiles bringing in exquisite fabrics, designers were given a lot of textural options to choose from. Furniture vignettes included pieces from Rockwell Unscripted and Knoll’s new Mutto line (a Scandinavian design collection).

Event Program

Re-purposing our felt inspection table, the Knoll team set up 14 work-stations. The program of the event was for design professionals in the area to create one-of-a-kind jewelry art while networking. Each attendee hand-selected their materials and jumped into the design and assembly process.
