Drawing inspiration from the New Mexico landscape, historical architecture, and midcentury graphic design, Albuquerque-based Submaterial adds four new offerings to its acoustic wall collection. Velo, Arcade, Ion, and Rise retain the line’s signature thickness, on-edge detailing, and curvilinear shapes. Go monochromatic or mix on-edge and background colors for more pop; there are 95 hues to choose from! The playful panels, available in a variety of sizes, offer more than just good looks: the Akustika 10 substrate, which contains 60% post-consumer recycled content, renders the 100 percent wool felt modules highly effective at absorbing sound.

The second feature is a design from the Wood Series. The veneer surface of each tile of the Route design is inlaid with cork in random intervals of horizontal lines, creating a bold yet organized graphic pattern. The beautiful tonal shifts in the grain of the wood surface create a subtle rhythmic effect that highlights the play between the cork and the veneer.
